Unity is a game engine provided by Unity Technologies. Unity’s virtual technology is not only limited to games, and has also been adopted in industrial and academic fields.
Unity is used for VR movies, VR training, stage performances, broadcasting, and simulations in robotics. In recent years, Unity has been used in the automotive industry, clinical settings, architecture, space exploration, and interactive experiences.
Kanazawa University concluded a UAA with Unity in October 2021.
UAA is an academic license where students and academic staff can use the below services.
Students can install Unity on their private computers.
Note: The Unity Student Plan contains software equivalent to Unity Pro, which can be shared between five team members. Using the various tools provided in the Student Plan, you can save your projects on the 25 GB of cloud space provided for free and create content quickly and efficiently.

Academic staff can install Unity Pro under Unity’s EGL (Education Grant License) on university computers purchased with public funds.

Licenses are valid for one academic year, so you will need to renew your license at the end of the year.

Exam Locations
Applications to take the Unity Certification Exam are accepted at Pearson VUE Test Centers. In Kanazawa, the exam can be taken at the Kanazawa Minamicho Test Center. To apply, log in to the Pearson VUE website, search for the Test Center, and make a reservation.
