Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd. and National University Corporation Kanazawa University have concluded an Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) agreement since AY2010.
An EES agreement is a type of volume license provided under a single agreement by Microsoft for educational institutions.
Kanazawa University is a member of the Academic eXchange for Information Environment and Strategy (AXIES). In cooperation with other educational institutions, we request grace periods and alternative solutions when significant changes have been made to the appropriate use of software licenses and product’s terms of use.
Unless otherwise specified, changes in the product’s terms of use are applicable from when Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd. updates their website or the specified date from which the changes are effective.
The EES agreement is a single agreement that includes free Windows OS upgrades and downgrades, installation of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 products, and Core CAL. It is also possible to use Windows OS in virtual environments such as Boot Camp and Virtual Box on paid operating systems (including macOS and Red Hat Linux).
Please use the Microsoft products within their product lifecycle and with a device that meets the system requirements.
The Emerging Media Initiative will not conclude an Extended Support agreement provided by Microsoft.
